The new, secondary school offering four classes per grade and a dual sports hall is planned in the southeast of Freising. The school campus forms an urban border to the residential area and opens up towards a meadow biotope in the south.

A long comb-like structure occupies the narrow plot of land from east to west along a green corridor that extends into the courtyards of the new school. Recess and outdoor sports areas connect to the landscape towards the south through gently descending steps.

A dual sports hall adjoins the building to the west, while a two-story recess hall encloses one side of the entrance forecourt. The bright and spacious recess hall of the secondary school with a generous free-standing staircase and central bleachers is a meeting place for students and a venue for events. It is the starting point of a main access route that connects all school facilities from entrance hall to sports hall, with classrooms in so-called "comb fingers" and subject-specific teaching rooms on the two upper floors and administrative offices, creative area and cafeteria on the ground floor.

The "comb fingers" form small self-contained learning clusters with four classrooms grouped around a central multi-purpose area, called a "forum". With plenty of daylight thanks to facing the inner courtyards and visible from all classrooms, the forum is used by students for independent work and study.

Learning clusters are organized as units in terms of fire protection in order to make the learning spaces open and transparent. The school design focused on study spaces creates a lively place of learning, promotes social interaction, incorporates inclusion and prepares the way for all-day schooling.

The material and color concept aims to support the idea of "school as a place of learning for all". An interplay of colored plastered and window surfaces structures the whole complex with earthy tones. A glazed ground floor facade is complemented by colored glass panel elements to achieve the effect of a glass base. On the upper floors, window bands alternate with brightly colored panels and more subdued textile sun sail awnings.
