The District of Freising is planning its largest construction project to date with the new State Vocational School Center on Wippenhauser Straße in Freising, along with the extensions to the Fachoberschule, Berufsoberschule, and the Wirtschaftsschule. On the site of the former sports field, the new school center will be complemented by additional facilities required for the entire school campus, including a triple sports hall, outdoor sports facilities, a cafeteria, and workshops, all of which are designed to enable synergetic use.

In addition to the outdoor sports facilities, attractive and well-usable open spaces with good social supervision are to be created. The new construction project offers the opportunity to interweave the currently isolated school buildings into a cohesive school campus. The goal goes beyond a mere reorganization of functional areas and seeks to create a place that embodies the genius loci as a space for the acquisition of knowledge, for personal growth and orientation, and makes this identity visible within the urban context.
